Hawzah News Agency- Shia source of emulation Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamedani had a meeting with General Gholamreza Soleimani, the head of Iranian Basij Organization on Thursday, November 24 in Qom during which the top cleric referred to the Basij as one of the great assets of the people of Islamic Republic of Iran, which has brought honor and authority to the holy Islamic system.”

This Shia source of emulation called the belief in God and faith as the most important advantage of the Basij forces and pointed out,” The first and most important capital of the sincere Basij forces is faith in God and following the humanistic school of Islam and the culture of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT).”

Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani praised the extensive services of the Basij in Iran and reminded,” the Basij forces have done important and effective work to solve the problems in the country with sincerity. Faithful forces of Basij serve in Jihadi camps during bitter cold and heat, floods and earthquakes alongside the people and in advance of all groups. Therefore, such services of Basij should be supported and strengthened.”

The top Shia scholar considered being popular as one of Basij's privileges and added,” In the holy Islamic system of Iran, the people are the foundation and the most important capital of the system; thus one should witness the strong presence of sympathetic forces of the system to serve the people in all fields. Be it scientific, cultural, welfare, economic or job creation.”

At the end of the meeting Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani addressed the Basij forces saying,” People need help and attention in the current situation, and service to the people should be accelerated; service to the people and their satisfaction should be a top priority in your efforts.”
